Climbing Longs Peak

Climbing to the summit of 14,259 foot (4,346 m) Longs Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. Longs Peak is one of the most popular 14ers in the state, and has an amazing view from the summit. It is also the deadliest peak in Colorado. According to the National Park Service, on average, one person dies every year attempting to climb this peak, many of them from lighting strikes during summer storms.
