Human-Face Fish

This curious species was first discovered in 2003 in a pond near Seoul, South Korea. The unique markings on it's head give the impression of a human face. This cyprinid is thought to be a cross between a common carp and a leather carp, or a common carp and the ayu sweetfish Plecoglossus altivelis.
